Who I am

"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever." -Jacques Yves Cousteau

My Mission

I’ve experienced firsthand the wonder, peace, and perspective the ocean can offer. Scuba diving can create joy, calm, excitement, and even relief, and my mission is to make those experiences more accessible through safe, thoughtful, and community-driven diving.

Through Aloha Kai Scuba, I introduce both new and experienced divers to local offshore diving in Jacksonville, helping them build confidence, skill, and respect for the ocean. I place a strong emphasis on spearfishing safety and lionfish hunting, teaching ethical practices that support reef health and responsible exploration.

This site is also a space for connection. My goal is to help grow the Jacksonville dive community by bringing together divers interested in conservation, local diving, travel, and spearfishing.

My Goals

  • Grow and connect the dive community in Jacksonville Beach and surrounding areas

  • Safely introduce divers to local offshore diving with trusted local charters

  • Teach spearfishing safety and conservation-focused lionfish hunting

My Background

I’ve been diving since I was 10 years old, first discovering the underwater world through Atlantic Pro Divers in Jacksonville Beach, my home dive shop, alongside my parents who inspired my early love for the ocean.

In 2013, I moved to St. Croix, where my connection to diving deepened dramatically. During my years there, I led hundreds of dives, guided divers of all experience levels, and earned my PADI Divemaster and PADI Instructor certifications. Living and working in the Caribbean shaped my teaching style and reinforced the importance of safety, skill, and respect for the ocean.

After returning home to Jacksonville, I spent six years managing Atlantic Pro Divers, where I taught hundreds of divers, led and divemastered offshore dives, and became deeply immersed in the Jacksonville dive community. During this time, I also earned my USCG 100-Ton Master Captain license, further expanding my experience on the water and in offshore operations.

When the shop was sold, my role there came to an end. While that chapter closed, my passion for diving never did. I continue to teach, guide, and share the ocean with others. I am driven by the same sense of peace, excitement, and connection I felt when I first went underwater as a child.

I love the exhilaration of spearfishing, the responsibility of harvesting fresh fish directly from the ocean, and the beauty of marine life in all its forms. from the smallest reef fish to the largest pelagic visitors. The ocean remains at the heart of everything I do.
